Our Story
Seagull Chemicalscame to life in the year 1982 as a small scale partnership between two Chemical Engineering batchmates from UICT, Mumbai, MrNandkishor S. Bengali and Mr.Padmanabh S.Walimbe.
In its initial days, Seagull Chemicals produced a range of textile Dye Intermediates like Pyrazolones, MPDSA and Acetyl MPDSA, etc. After becoming a private limited company in the 1987 and more so at the turn of the 21st century, as the boom period for dyes came to an end, the company ventured into the flourishing pigment intermediates category.
We developed an Innovative process for the Intermediate of red pigment, PABA, which is largest selling Pigment colour. In the past 14-15 years, shifting to this new process has not only helped the company save on time and increase productivity, but has also helped it become one of the largest global producers of PABA (Para Amino Benzamide). Currently, Seagull Chemicals has the capacity to produce 60 Mts. Of PABA (Para Amino Benzamide) every month.
